Back a long time ago, even before many of us remember,
Russ joined Glenn Thorpe as the northern anchor
of Glenn's Friends Net.
To honor Russ for the many years of service to the net and
to express appreciation for all the times we heard our callsigns carried on Russ' familiar voice,
-- whether we were on land or sea --
We, the Glenn's Friends Radio Group, have presented a
Book of Birthday Greetings and Tribute
to Russ on this, the occasion of his 95th Birthday, 4 May 2009,
from which the above photo and text page is reproduced.

We are starting as soon as propagation allows, from 7:30 on.
Real effort is being made to hold our start time to not later than 8:00am.
Usually we finish by 8:00 AM.
